"You're where??"

Our Bakery is located in the tiny town of Frenchboro, Maine, on an island approximately 8 miles offshore. We are a lobster-fishing family, and live smack-dab in the middle of some of the best tasting lobster in the world! Living year round on an island is a very unique experience. Ours is not an easy life, but we wouldn't have it any other way.

Frenchboro is one of only 15 Maine islands which can boast a year round community. There will be approximately 36 of us here in this winter, plus 19 kids under 14 years of age. Our population changes drastically mid-winter, as the 'boys' are separated from the 'men'!

Our town consists of a Post Office, a K-8 one room schoolhouse, a public library, a firehouse, a Bed and Breakfast, a lobster wharf, an online bookseller, and most recently, The Offshore Store.

During the summer months there are a Museum and Gift Shop, and a take-out restaurant.

There are miles of hiking trails open to the public which traverse the island. You will not find a more serene, beautiful, picturesque place to visit.

Travel back in time to a simpler life, where clocks are not necessary, and nature and beauty dictate the day.
